Real colours is a menu toggleable option the choice is between Real colours, and Gameboy.
Â
From what i gather, Real colours displays the colours as they would appear, if the GBA was connected to a fully backlit LCD panel, while Gameboy displays them as they would look on a standard non backlit GB/GBA. (Real is closer to a GBASP, while Gameboy is closer to an original GBA)
Â
Both the images are taken with it set to display real colors, However, setting both to Gameboy, it is even worse /emoticons/huh@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />.

OK, i just found something which might be of value.
Â
All of the Zelda games on GBC are MBC5, so its not related
Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal, and Links Awakening, under Rom info say they are Color:80, while the Oracles games, are Color:c0
Â
edit... nvm, Pokemon Crystal is also c0 and its unaffected.... wierd /emoticons/huh@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />
