VGA-M Runs Too Fast

Post by shadowayex »

I just downloaded the latest VBA-M and tried loading up my Pokemon Crystal ROM. It gave a couple errors that I don't recall but then preceded to load the game. The problem is the game runs at hyperspeed. Way too fast to be playable. Is there a way to slow down the emulator?

There should be an automatic frameskip setting in the Speed section. That should help. Don't touch throttle, it's a bit bugged.

Thanks, that actually worked like a charm.

By the way the error messages were these:

The XAudio2 interface failed to initialize!

and

Failed to read RTC from save game C:\GBA\games\Pokemon Crystal (U) [C][h1] (enable setting of time).sav (continuing)

If that matters at all. I don't think I have sound =/

RTC error will correct itself.

Xaudio bug is because you don't have the latest Dx installed.

as for the speed, enabling Audio Synching works better than auto frameskipping.

........i'll change the defaults so thats enabled as a default setting....
