its disabled in the main branch.

I do not understand what you mean by disabled in the Branch. I apologize if this is something simple i am over looking, please explain.

Branch, aka, development tree.

 

Trunk is the main branch which all official builds are compiled from.

so i am assuming that means it is disabled in this build.

Yeah. If you want linking features, compile the bgk-link branch, though be warned: it currently does not do GB/C linking, only GBA.
