The stick on the arcade controllers is recognized as the D-Pad, which by default manipulates POV instead of X/Y axis, so the games I use the arcade controller with don't recognize the stick movements. I usually use XBCD to change the D-Pad bindings from POV to X/Y axis, but I can't install the XBCD drivers on the controller I'm using right now.
Â
edit: Windows sees the stick as the POV Hat.
Â
Would you have an alternative solution?

This is actually expected behavior, Arcade sticks are actually supposed to correspond to digital directions, but modern sticks work on an analogue axis so they can be made to work like analogue sticks.

both these games are Xinput titles that use Directinput to get device names, did you try the bundled x360ce xinput emulator?
Hi, i'm using a Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad. It doesn't work with XBOX 360, but it registers as XBOX 360 Controller For Windows Class under Device Manager. I was hoping if XBCD can provide support as I want the two triggers to be working in older games which support dinput only.
Â
The hardware ID is USB\VID_046D&PID_C21F.
Â
Thanks in advance.

XBCD does not support any wireless common class controllers, also not all common class controllers are Xbox 360 spec, the xbcdd driver enumerates based on common hardware registers, and not on the common class itself. Given the fact it does not work on an xbox 360, there is little hope of it working on xbcd.
Please note the controller has 2 modes, Xinput and Dinput via the mode button, this enables support for both xinput and directinput titles and rumble with one controller
Thx for your reply. Too bad that xbcd won't work for the gamepad.

I know the gamepad can be switched to Dinput mode using the mode button, however the two triggers will then function as buttons only. Therefore I was looking for a way to make the triggers work as triggers in Dinput mode. Well now it seems impossible.
