Hi,
I've been having problems with VBA-M. I downloaded the newest version of VBA-M for windows and every single time I try to load any rom, I get audio, but no video. The video remains as a black screen while audio comes in perfectly. This happens with any game and any rom I try.

Can anyone help me figure this out?
I am having this same problem. Apparently are supposed to cut off something called Write Overlap but I can't find that in the settings menu since I am on windows 10.
I solved it. I just switched the render method to OpenGL
Set rendering to opengl is faster because and better.
Other thing could be you used gameshark codes and left them active resulting in black screen remove the codes and disable cheats
