Popping sounds

Hi,

I was playing Mega Man Zero yesterday and i noticed a really weird popping sound whenever i fight a boss or there are many things on the screen.

My original copy broke for some unknown reason (battery is empty) so i can't test it with the original. I have heard the same popping sound all the time in Tales Of Phantasia on the real GBA. I also hear a popping sound when starting a game in Castlevania Circle Of The Moon. Just after the text screens fades away i hear a strange pop. This doesn't happen on VBA-M. Tales Of Phantasia does pop occasionally on VBA-M but not as frequent as the original. It's really weird that i hear popping sound in a lot of GBA games. The 3 games i mentioned above do it really bad.

I am autistic and i have stronger hearing that normal. High pitched noise are very annoying to me.

My brother hears the same popping so it isn't me that's only hearing it.

I watched some Youtube video's of Mega Man Zero and they to have the popping sounds when fighting a boss and not when going through the levels normally.

Can anyone tell me if the popping is normal for GBA games. Ik have a lot of DS games and i don't hear those games make those sounds.

Thanks in advance.

If its on the GBA its a limitation of the sound hardware, however enabling the Pop filter in the audio configuration might help.

Declicking ..heh same thing different name lol.

its already ticked though so not much can be done at this point... its either just due to accurate emulation of the gba audio, or because the audio core is a mess.
