Does anyone know how I can fix this? I tried switching to OpenGL but then the emulator just becomes impossibly slow

A little more info would be nice.

  • VBA-M version
  • Graphics card
  • Driver version
  • Game
  • SeD%ings

Is the screen exactly red or magenta?

  • Version: 1.8.0-SVN

  • I'm not exactly sure how to check what graphics card I have, I just know its no where near top of the line

  • I updated DirectX through the web updated right when I downloaded this emulator (I found it through NGemu.com)

  • Any game I try

  • SeD%ings? Settings?

The screen is tinted red

Can you figure out if another version worked?

Where would I find another version? I can't find it on ngemu or on the main site

I'm sorry but I feel incredibly stupid right now. I posted up there that the version of VBA-M I'm using is 1.8.0-SVN, that's what the emulator says.

On the http://vba-m.com/ I go to the download page, and theres two sections that have this "SVN". I'm guessing those are the main versions? When I click on either of them, I really don't have any idea of what I should download that would be an older version of my emulator.

I'm sorry for not understanding what you guys are talking about, and thank's for the patience

I think this is evidence we need to fix our download page...

On the archive you downloaded, what numbers followed the name VisualBoyAdvance?

As for how to access the download page properly... when you first click downloads, select "SVN Compiles (X86)." On this page, scroll all the way down, then click click on the folder that is named "msvc2008."

You'll find several VisualBoyAdvance versions there. Try the one with the biggest number(The one that has the biggest number is the most current one always). Right now, that's VisualBoyAdvance583.
