once you install XBCD, your 360 pad no longer has native Xinput support.

That configuration is completely wrong for you though. Set it up using the stickied instructions

take screenshots of the both setup windows with alt+prtscrn, paste them into paint, save as jpg and then upload to a image host (or as a forum attachment)

I just have installed XBCD 2.7 for windows 7 x64, everything went fine and XBCD setup detects my xbox 360 controller (wired ofcourse).
