GBA Linking does not work due to severe bugs. Linking is enabled in the build options due to some games requiring the link hardware for certain commands.

Super Gameboy support is limited to just the borders and colors. All emulators with SGB support have this problem.

Never experienced em myself so my knowledge on the topic is vague...but I am sure there was some sort of issue with gameboy games and save states and sound? Or does that not apply to all gameboy games?

Nope, SGB support is full, enable borders in Pokemon Gold/Silver and you will see it displays the borders, but also happens to strip them back to the limited palette of the SuperGB cart.

[GBA Linking does not work due to severe bugs. It was outright disabled.]

Maybe the Gekko team will help us with this.

We could certainly use the assistance. I have a Nsider account for Gekko, so I might be able to pull some strings.

I misspoke when I made that post due to tiredness. It's missing all of the other features the SGB could do other than borders and colors. Space Invaders included an entirely separate game that only works on the SGB due to it linking up to the SNES. Donkey Kong includes voice samples that only work on the SGB. I'm sure there are other examples, but those are the only ones I know about.

Edit: fixed my first post to include the colors working.

Without looking into the technical details of it; from what I remember, the extra sound features used the SPC700 chip, and the Space Invaders game used the SNES's CPU. Thus, any fully-accurate SGB emulator would have to emulate some, if not all, of the SNES.

The emulator appears to only emulate the SGB border and palette, but not audio.
