Mother 3 translation message...

so I wanted to start playing Mother 3, and I got past the first screen, but then... this screen shows up:

and I can't get past this, any way to get past this message?

oh yeah, and I have Windows Vista

Yeah, that screen is kind of strange, because the only button you can use to get past it is A. That is whatever VBA-M is set to use for A, not the A key on the keyboard.

works fine, check you're vba-m configuration. and make sure the original j-rom wasn't already patched at all.

The issue is usually not an emulation failure, but a non-obvious keypress, at least on some builds other than Windows. I've had no trouble, but I keep seeing this question (and answer) pop up, from users on other platforms.
