XAudio2 Sound Buffers!

Post by LittleLate »

When I play Mother 3, the timing is the tiniest tiniest bit off but it is affecting me.

I notice that putting sound buffers to 2 (the minimum on the interface), the timing is better than when the number is higher.

Is there any way to lower this even further? If it went a little further the timing would be perfect. haha

More info: when I'm timing my attacks, I have to press the A button the slightest bit before the actual beat. I've tried messing with other options but haven't found anything other than that option to help me.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post!

the buffer at its lowest is not the cause of this issue, there is a io timing issue that is causing the input to be off by a fraction of a second

Thanks for the reply.

So is there any way to make it so I don't have to hit the A button earlier than I'm supposed to? The input is not late if that's what the io timing issue is.

Any way to delay the audio by a fraction of a second so the timing lines up?

improving memio will resolve both audio and timing glitches such as this.

Sorry to sound stupid but what is memio and how do I improve it? I appreciate you helping me out.
