I've used VBA for a long time, but I recently changed to VBA-M. The only problem I've had with it is the speed up (pressing spacebar by default).
Â
It works; I usually speed it up for only a second or so at a time, but it occasionally stays in the speed up mode for an extra few seconds. And it gets really annoying and sometimes kills my character (Link in Zelda: OoA) because I lose all control in the game. Like if I'm walking in one direction, speed it up, and it stays sped up, I can't stop Link from moving. I can't attack or move in another direction, either. Pressing Alt or clicking outside the window during it does nothing until it's done being stuck in speed up mode--I can only wait it out.
Â
What can be causing this? VBA never did this. I am using VBA-M 1.8.0 SVN956.
Â
Changing pixel filters doesn't help.

(Also, it is not as fast--VBA-M goes to about 200-300% as opposed to VBA's 2000%. I like the 300%, but is there a reason for the change? Can it be edited?)
