When I start them, I get four rectangles and "Press Start." Then it stops responding. I've tried them with a few versions including the newest, r1084.

They work on VBA 1.8 Beta 3.

 

I'm sorry for the lack of pics before. I thought it was supposed to go in the compatibility forum since the games don't work at all. It doesn't say to post pics there.

After further testing, I found out that this bug only happens when you're using a bios and enable "Skip Bios Logo"

skipping the bios prevents the gba core from properly setting its gfx state

This is expected AP behavior, specifically it skips boot init test of the link hardware.
