Golden sun and golden sun 2 wont work PLEASE HELP!!

Well i am going crazy i cant get these two roms to work i have tried everything i can think of and google about lol so does anyone know how to make these work? i am on ubuntu 13.04 with the what i assume to be the latest version of vba-m. i also wasnt able to get it to work with VBA from ubuntu. i did get it to work with medna-fen but i dont like it there lol. when i try rubbing vba-m through terminal and then try playing it dosent load golden sun and i get this error message in terminal

so does anyone know how to make it work?

don't assume

 

this was fixed a long time ago, but it seems your package provider is NOT up to date.

 

compile it from latest trunk and you should be good to go

how do i compile it? i downloaded it from the Ubuntu software center

and thank you i have literally been going crazy trying to fix it myself
