Pokemon Fire Red not working

Hey guys, I'm using VisualBoyAdvance-M (SVN974) in a Windows 7 x32 laptop and when I press File>Open GBA... and select my Pokemon Fire Red rom i get the message

 

"Cannot open file C:|Users|Public|Documents|Wave Roar|rom|Nintendo Game Boy Advance|Pokémon Fire Red.gba"

 

any idea on how to fix this?
