Just follow the thread. To open terminal a quick way is to press alt+f2, then type 'gnome-terminal' into the box that appears. Then you go to the directory for gvbam, which most likely is /usr/bin/ and then type ./gvbam

Then you will know if there are issues. You could be missing a dependency or something else.
